We are excited to welcome Sue Heilbronner to CAMP 2019 as our closing Keynote speaker!
Sue is a sought-after speaker, startup CEO, mentor, adjunct professor of entrepreneurship, facilitator, strategic advisor, Conscious Leadership coach, co-founder of the MergeLane investment fund, creator of the Leadership Camp training program for high-potential leaders, former federal prosecutor, and a direct and fearless catalyst for change. She has the privilege of bringing her speaking, speaker training, facilitation, coaching, Conscious Leadership, and consulting expertise to companies around the world. She’s worked with teams and leaders from Facebook, G2, Salesforce, Gainsight, Kiva, Uptake, Oracle, and more. Sue is a certified coach and trainer with the Conscious Leadership Group.
Sue has been a CEO and CRO for digital marketing, technology, and e-commerce companies since the earliest days of the Internet. She began her career as an attorney – last as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. She transitioned to business by founding an online baby gift company in 1999, which she later sold when she joined Discovery Communications, the parent company of Discovery Channel and 15 other international networks.
Sue went on to lead companies in the interactive travel, digital publishing, e-commerce, home maintenance, and online education sectors. She serves as a mentor with Techstars and an adjunct professor of law and entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Law School. Sue earned a BA from Oberlin College and a JD and Master of Public Policy from Duke University. She lives in Boulder and the Bay Area.
She is a powerful presence who inspires audiences with her authenticity, directness, quick mind, and humor. Her wide range of experience over many sectors gives her unique insight into what being a successful leader means, and we are honored to have her join us at CAMP this year.
We are proud to welcome David Chiavacci back to CAMP this year as our opening Keynote speaker to present on how "Digital is Eating the World"!
David Chiavacci is the Director of the Advisor Solutions Group for Colorado, at Janus Henderson Investors. In this role, he consults directly with financial professionals on all Janus Henderson-related products and the Janus Henderson Labs curriculum, which offers high-impact business and life-enhancing programs. Mr. Chiavacci also serves on the board of the Janus Henderson Foundation, is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Colorado and completed The Human Performance Institute’s Corporate Athlete Course®, a science-based energy management course designed to strategically help participants become more productive and effective under pressure by managing their energy more effectively. Prior to joining Janus in in October 2012, he was a Portfolio Specialist at Merrill Lynch.
During his 18 years of experience in the financial industry, Mr. Chiavacci has held various leadership roles in wealth management including positions with Branch Management and being a Senior Financial Advisor. He holds the CIMA® & CFP® designations, has an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University, received a business degree from Frostburg State University, and attended executive education from the Wharton School of Business. Before beginning a career in financial services, Mr. Chiavacci was an Army Officer for four years where he led a Reconnaissance Platoon. He attended Army Airborne School as well as Army Air Assault School.
Mr. Chiavacci lives near Denver with his wife Laura and two young children, Jack and Kate. He enjoys outdoor activities with his family including camping, skiing and golfing.
We are looking forward to Constance Holden heading up one of our breakout sessions this year, focusing on the importance of end-of-life conversations and her non-profit organization, The Conversation Project.
Constance Holden recently retired from Boulder Community Health where she served as the Director of Oncology Services and the Chair of the Palliative Care Program. She continues to serve as an ethics consultant at that hospital. She has worked for 6 hospitals and 4 hospice programs in staff and leadership positions.
In 2013, She and Jean Abbott developed The Conversation Project in Boulder County, modeled after the national project started by Boston Globe columnist, Ellen Goodman. Her experience in those settings highlighted the critical importance of pro-active family conversations about end-of-life values and wishes…before it is too late.
"While 82% of Americans say that it is important to put end-of-life wishes in writing, only 23% actually have done it. An even smaller percent have actually spoken with their family about their wishes. Unless your family knows what you want, they are left with the distress of guessing how to best care for you. Starting the conversation is never easy – no one wants to sound gloomy or to upset ourselves or others, but families and health care professionals report that it is a relief when the subject of how we want the end of our life to look is brought into the open and our choices can be honored because of careful forethought and conversation." - www.theconversationprojectinboulder.org
